A Guide to Understanding Slot RTP and Volatility
RTP stands for Return to Player — a statistic showing how much a slot pays back on average across millions of spins over a long period. It is not a guaranteed return for any single session; it is a mathematical expectation at scale. Slot games typically have an RTP between 94–97%. For example, Fortune Mouse has a maximum RTP of 96.96% and Gates of Olympus has a maximum RTP of 96.50%.
Low Volatility
Wins come more often but are generally smaller. A good choice if you want your budget to last longer. Suitable for newer players.
Medium Volatility
A balance between frequent small wins and larger ones. Both bigger and smaller prizes are possible. Choose this category if you want a balanced experience.
High Volatility
Wins come less often but can be larger when they do. Big prizes may appear after a long dry run. Better suited for players with a larger budget and patience.
How Does a Progressive Jackpot Grow?
A small portion of each bet goes into the machine's jackpot pool. When many players are playing at the same time, the pool grows quickly. When someone triggers the jackpot, the entire pool goes to them and the counter resets to zero.
How to Choose a Slot Based on Your Budget
With a small budget, low-volatility and high-RTP slots give you more playing time. With a larger budget, high-volatility games offer a chance at bigger prizes. Always set a limit for yourself.
Remember: playing is for entertainment — winning is not guaranteed. Do not bet beyond your budget.

Betting Exchange — Back and Lay
In regular betting you bet against a bookmaker. In a betting exchange you bet directly against other players — odds are set by the market, not a bookmaker. The platform sits in the middle and takes a commission.
Back vs Lay
| Back Bet | Lay Bet |
|---|---|
| Betting that a certain outcome will happen | Betting that a certain outcome will not happen |
| Another Lay bettor is on the opposite side from you | You are essentially acting as the bookmaker |
| If it wins, you take a profit; if it loses, you lose your stake | If it loses, you win the stake; if it wins, you pay the liability |
How It Works — Example
For Team A at decimal odds of 1.80:
- BACK Team A — ৳1,000: If Team A wins, profit before commission is ৳800; if they do not win, you lose ৳1,000.
- LAY Team A — for a ৳1,000 backer: Your liability = ৳800 (৳1,000 × 0.80); if Team A does not win, you win ৳1,000 before commission; if Team A wins, you pay ৳800.
Team A / Team B are used for illustration only — this is not live odds or a guarantee of any outcome.
